Trail date never sent now ive got a ticket on my record
I got a ticket on new years day for going 20 over in a 80.I requested a trail date because i was going with the flow of traffic and there were 2 cars in front of me.Now I recived no noticed for trail as of yet.I went and printed out my drivers record and it shows they convicted me of the offence on the 1st of june with no warning. Is there any way i can get them to revise this? like set a new date. Its a PITA because i got the ticket in brantford.

There must be some way to appeal that. Unless you signed for the trial notice, they cant prove you got it (lost in the mail). Although i remember when i went to the durham office to request a trial, they told me that if i didnt get the notice in 30 days i think it was, that i had to phone them and tell them i hadnt received it.

Sounds like clerical error. Bad news is that you have to drive back to brantford. Fill out some paper work, probably will take few hrs (depending how busy JPs are). As mentioned above, there is a time liimit, I would do it a.s.a.p, so insurance companies will not see the ticket.
Good news, since it was not your fault, the clock for having a trial date within reasonable time starts the day you originally filed your ticket. You might be able to get off the ticket on a technicality.
You can always hire one of those ticket fighter people from Brantford, save you time and gas, but cost you money.
Good luck!

Unless...If it's LIDAR(laser) an officer can get every single vehicle's speed, so your screwed anyway.
If it's radar, the officer just waits until the other vehicles in front of you go past the location and now you become the closest, fastest target.
So the bottom line when this "flow of traffic" or "vehicle in front of me" does something else such as drive off the road and into a light pole, you will follow?

Looks like im gonna have to take a trip down to brantford.I got nailed on that hwy that runs into ancaster.Basicly I know i was speeding,i was going to use the system to my benefit.Setting a trail date, sending my wife in for me because I was sick (if she found the officer wasent there she would go in my place),if the officer did show she would request another trial date which would take another 4-6 months.Basicly I was gonna get all cosy with my insurance company (most dont check on you randomly. If all worked well maybe the officer wouldent show,he was pretty old so I was hopeing he would retire.
