Ticket too late?

I got a Ticket January 7th 2007 and I only got the court notice today to appear in court next January 4th 2008.. I heard there's a rule where if it takes more than 6 or 8 months you can get the charges dropped as long as you do it 15days prior to the court date..?

Thats an old old law man. It used to be like that 15+ yrs ago.

The only thing I know to avoid this tix is this - You have the right to a timley trial date, this is in regards to little things like tickets. Now if it is a serious thing like criminal charges, it's a diff story. So I say bring up the fact that it goes against your right (look it up or ask a lawyer) to a speedy trial or something.

Just give Pointts a ring.

Let us know what happens.
