Anyone have any opinons on this..?

Last weekend I was pulling out of a convenience store in mississauga, which is located on a corner. I did not have my seatbelt on, but fully intended to place it on in the next few seconds. I drove about 8-10 meteres to the red light, and then hung a right, as I hung the right I was putting the seat belt on. A police car, pulls me over & gives me a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt.

Now, this being around 11:30pm , there were no cars on the road, I was going fairly slow, under 20km/hr. and just left the convenience store about 15-20 seconds earlier. It's not like I was driving several KM's down hurontario or the QEW without the belt on..

The question is:

Trial, or plesae guilty with an explanation?

If I do the 'guilty with an explanation' what are some typical results ? Has anyone been in a similiar situation as this, or anyone have some insight here?

Get a court date, dont show up, come up with a good reason, appeal it, go to appeal court asking to lessen the fine from no seat belt to "driving motor vehincle with non working seatbelts" save yourself probly 30 bux and mabe points (Y) good luck
