Prohibited Right Turn Ticket

Prohibited Right Turn Ticket
Ok, so I went back a couple of years worth of post in this section and there seems to be some conflicting information.
After my last speeding ticket just came off my insurance a few months ago and finally a clean record, I get stopped, of all things, for making a right hand turn during prohibited hours. I played nice, and so did the officer. He said he could have charged me with a HTA office which is $110 and 2 demerits but he just charged me with Metro By-Law 32/92 which is no points and only $18.
Of course we all know the real cost of tickets comes from the insurance rate hikes. In previous post, some people stated that this type of ticket does not affect insurance. However, some insurance websites say that Municipal By-Law traffic offenses do affect your rate.
My intent is to protect my insurance rate, so does this ticket need to be fought?

Hey StealthZ - I fight parking tix - in fact - I fight every single tix. Some are for principal when you get false BS parking tix and some r real (like headlight out - not showing proof of insurance, whatever).
When you pay a parking tix - the city thinks ppl are ok with the set fines, then they raise the set fine amounts, plus it depends on the parking tix - I got a false one for $90 or $60 for supposedly parking in a taxi zone - not something I do.
When you got HTA tix, illegal mod tix, etc... in the past and didnt fight em but payed em - the government used those stats to create new laws for modded cars, raised fine amounts etc...
Fight ALL driving infractions as they all will be made avail to insurance companies and they may or may not raise yer rates. Yer present company might not, but if you swith companies in a couple years they might bring it up and raise yer rates, or that infraction may come up in new quotes with other companies.
