Is this possible!?!?!
Some school bus driver today pointed at me and gave me the 'phone me' hand signal... i guess to tell me that she called in my plates . I know you arent allowed to pass a school bus when the lights are flashing, but can she gimme a ticket for this? Heres what happened, We were at a 3-way stop, going different directions. She was dropping off kids, and i came up to the stop sign, made a full stop and turned right. Can I get a ticket for that? Heres a drawing in-case my explanation sucks.

maybe she wanted ur number?
Don't quote me, but I think Toronto was working on a pilot project where they had video camera on school bus' because too many drivers were not stopping. I don't know if they are still doing that.
None the less, I dont believe you did nothing wrong, unless it was a rolling stop sign. Even then, a cop has to witness it to give you the ticket.

you didn't even get a ticket/letter yet, so why bother worrying about this now? even if u did (later on) it's basically his/her word against yours, and that kind of proof from civilians would be hard to prove w/o video tape or even independent witnesses

In the drivers hand book it says something like pull no closer then certain amount of feet from front of bus and stop . No passing or over taking bus while its stopped with lights on . Turning left in frt of the bus would put you in the no fly zone , but turning right should be ok ..77.

You did nothing wrong in relation to the school bus. Here's what the HTA states.
Duty of drivers when school bus stopped
(11) Every driver or street car operator, when meeting on a highway, other than a highway with a median strip, a stopped school bus that has its overhead red signal-lights flashing, shall stop before reaching the bus and shall not proceed until the bus moves or the overhead red signal-lights have stopped flashing. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 175 (11).
(12) Every driver or street car operator on a highway, when approaching from the rear a stopped school bus that has its overhead red signal-lights flashing, shall stop at least twenty metres before reaching the bus and shall not proceed until the bus moves or the overhead red signal-lights have stopped flashing. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 175 (12).
As long as you stopped then you are fine.
