Keeping speeding tickets off your record

I heard in quebec when they get a speeding ticket what some people do is say: the ticket is for $110 you send them a chq or MO for 115.Doing that they will send you a chq for the difference back.Until you cash that chq it stays off your driving record.

Worth a shot?
