how to delay court?

i have a summons of court comming up for a parking infracture. i the court date is comming up, im feeling very sick, i can get a doctor note. if i send somebody to court that day with a doctor note, can they delay my court?

I believe you can have it rescheduled if you are unable to attend for medical reasons. A doctor's note should be sufficient. Why don't you call the court and see?

get a family member to stand in for you and say you could not make it. either the judge postpones or if your lucky and the cop doesnt show, judge may drop it or postpone it.
