Driving around w/out a front bumper cover

can you get a ticket if you drive around w/out a front bumper cover; with just the bumper support (thats the metal piece where the foam rests on; the foam is covered by the bumper cover?

the bumper cover on my 323 is on the verge of falling off. I am thinking if i can just take the cover off, take the foam off and just drive around with the bar...

who cares if he's a cop? you'd be pretty stupid to think that the cops DON'T browse this forum every once in a while

You can have pretty much anything for a bumper , like tube ones on 4x4,s . Just as long as there is no sharp protruding edges ..77.

I apologize for being one of the few that have the "Highway Traffic Act" in hard copy and when there is a question I try to look it up and find an answer, then post same.......so that we are not all guessing or getting things of "he said" "she said" and I even type in the Act/section number so that anyone else can find it.

If there is something I don't know, I try to look it up via case law or via the Act then post accordingly. Then add in common sense. Such as I used to be young and foolish, I've learned over time and one must think from both sides of the fence (ie fun side and the legal side).

To give honest answers one has to clear their mind of pre-judged reponses. If one was to be cut off by a "modified/racer" car OR stopped by the "police", you can not judge the next encounter with that racer or police the same...every experience is different and should be treated as such.

Maybe I'm just getting old

You wont get a ticket. At least I didnt....I drove around for about 2 weeks with no bumper cover, just the bumper support on. And I even went down to Darknights and was pulled over and had the car inspected, no tickets/warnings.
