81km on 60 zone & entire plate not plainly visible
Hi guys! I got 2 tickets for speeding 81kmh on 60km zone and another for having the blueish tinted plate cover. It happened along Kennedy and 16th on a down hill. I didn't notice my speed and this cop just pulled me over. I'm kinda new in dealing with tickets since these are my first ones. Advices would be appreciated. Thank you!

If this is your first set of tickets... then make sure you FIGHT them. You may be able to get off as you don't have a past record - but its not guaranteed. Your best bet is to pay to fight them.

21 and over is going to get dropped to 15 and over which shouldnt affect your insurence and no points. Tinted plate covers are illigle, so just pay the ticket.
This is from article 13(2)
Number plate to be kept clean
(2) Every number plate shall be kept free from dirt and obstruction and shall be affixed so that the entire number plate, including the numbers, is plainly visible at all times, and the view of the number plate shall not be obscured or obstructed by spare tires, bumper bars, any part of the vehicle, any attachments to the vehicle or the load carried. 1994, c. 27, s. 138 (7).

my advice is to FIGHT EVERY TICKET YOU EVER GET!! paying it is admitting guilt, and unless the cop has a laser radar set up, its all here say and most likely would get thrown out in court. i suggested calling spotts paralegal in mississauga, they've handled a few of my infractions!
