Your going to have to give us more info than that. Did you get both on the same day? By the same officer? Were either reduced by the officer? Was it a community safety zone (will be indicated on the ticket)? Did the officer use radar, laser or did he pace you? Were you really going this fast or do you just want to dispute them?

As far as the 80 in a 50, the one that you say you weren't speeding, go ahead and fight it. That is, if you genuinely and honestly know you weren't speeding. However, don't try to say in court that your speedometer was faulty, or that you were going down hill, etc. Those excuses won't work because speeding is "an absolute liability" offence. That means, there is no excuse. So your only hope is to challenge the officer on the evidence.
As far as the other goes, well my personal opinion is to accept your mistakes, and pay the fine. Look at it this way, how many times were you speeding and didn't get caught. I know, people are going to jump all over that one and say fight all your tickets. Okay, like I said thats my opinion.

still worth attempting to reduce it is it not? the first one im definatly going to fight. but thats true..we all speed sometimes..just some unlucky time we get caught. the most recent ticket..I probably deserved i guess..but still..I was in the boonies..middle of nowhere..no cars in site..cept me..i wanted to go find some curvy roads to see how my car handled. im not aiming to go to court with lame excuses n bs liek that. I will get the full disclouser tho..n if i can get both tossed I will..even if i only beat one..I'd be thrilled. the 80 in 50..the only real arguement i have is..I wasnt speeding..the other cars around me where going same speed one even faster...i feel singled out because of my muffler. 5 minutes after the radar trap..I have a cop behind me at a light..he runs my plates..n pulls me over right away. that means if he did have radar..it coulda been anyone..n he picked me out as an easy target! which isnt fair. thx for all your help tho(Y) do u kno how to get the police report disclouser thingy?

If you choose to enter a not guilty plea they will set a court date for you and send the disclosure to you automatically. Once you get those documents and you feel you need something else just write back to them, save copy of your letter for yourself to take to court in case you don't get it in time.

If you are concerned about your muffler as the reason....why not put the silencer in the muffler so it is not as loud and you can not be singled out?
Every muffler I have purchased always has the disclaimer on it...check your local state and provincial laws prior to application/installation (same thing printed on coloured light bulbs, tinted headlight covers, licence plate covers etc..)
It's pretty easy to know if it's legal or not....look in your muffler, if you can see from the end of your muffler directly through to the other end it is a "straight exhaust" which is illegal, HTA 75(1).
Food for thought to avoid being singled out
