I always have loved the Toyota MR-S. THe problem is, since we live in canada, i can't get one . Now this is where the fun begins. My uncle lives in Dirty Jersey with his wife. Amongst them, they only have 1 car and a clean record. I was wondering if i could purchase the vehicle there and drive it up here and just have it insured under my uncle and aunt for as long as i drive it. I have heard a bunch of different things about this but some people think this is actually possible to have. i would be the primary under the ownership of my aunt. Is it possible to have this sort of dream car in canada?

My new GTi came from the states, so it is do-able, but I'm not sure exactly what's involved because the original owner did all that crap. He wanted my rabbit bad.

you can't pull an insurance scam like that. Its completely illegal and not worth going to jail over. If you are under 25 you are insuring the driver not the car, and you can't insure you under your aunt's policy if you don't live at the same residence.

you can do it, it's not the smartest thing, because you can get caught, but it can be done

If you decide to put your residence there.. you will also have to ensure your license state that also.. as they reference it against your license and find out you're in Canada.. err.. from insurance.. then being cancelled by insurance will screw them up and yourself
