Rules of Street Racing

Mommy and Daddy's car not allowed
Im good with race what ya got (bracket racing can be fun to), and to anything the drivers agree to. I race with ppl up to 90Kms from dead stop - its more of an honour system - when you hit 90Kms you honk yer horn, first to honk wins obviously, sometimes it's a dash race - from the lights, first to cross some post or marker on the road wins, and I also put on rally type races from time to time and love em. I say everything goes.

Most cars aren't even out of second gear by 90km/h. I wouldn't call that much of a race
light racing.. so you're contributing to the degenerate thats killin on the street and giving the rest of us bad names
nope, not at all, I dont do anything too different than the Maple Leaf Rally Series, Montreal Rallys, North Ontario Rallys - Most of what I do is away from traffic, its up to the individual driver if they wanna break the law or drive dangerously, I also do slaloms in parking lots, scribbles, dash for gas station races across ontario (like a checkpoint thing), and more, nothing that would involve the public. The ppl that show up for my things are mature, intelligent, responsible ppl and not 15 yr olds in stolen parents vans, thats why I dont post those things on here.
Light racing I do in my daily driver on the spot sorta thing for kicks, I stopped racing seriously when I sold my race motor from my Camaro. Emergency vehicles and tow trucks kill more than racers do, not to meantion soccer moms in SUV's on the phone with 7 kids jumping around inside.
there are many forms of racing, not just 1/4, 1/8, circle, rally, etc...

All the incident that the media has hyped up to be "Street racing" fatalities this year has not been any POS cars thats in bad shape and most of them know each other.
In industrial/parking lot etc. racing.. the people that MAY get hurt there know what they're there for, so they know the consequences.
Slalom and rally in closed circuit are cool, been to a few..
Gas station ( check point ) sounds like cannonball ( the movie ) kinda race.. which sounds cool.. but IT DOES involve the public.. how would your family know I am checkpoint racing and barrel them while they're near the gas station?
I do agree that soccer mom and other emergency vehicle do drive like dumb ***'
I just fail to understand how you contradict a lot of things you mention.. just on your last post
Err.. not too many desolate gas stations out there unless you're in the country.. then it's deer and moose you're worried bout
Thats good that your associates are mature adults.. I don't race on public roads that have traffic.. I usually allow them to go speeding by and keep distance and pace so if there is a cop, they'd flush them out for me when they get nabbed.
Yes I have done my fair share of street racing.. ( and yes I"ve lost quite a few.. lmao )
But this has gone way off topic from the original intended post

I agree that this has gone off topic so I'll just say this and no more:
some parts of what I said may sound contradictory but look closer - most of what I do is away from trafic = MOST and not ALL, the parts that are on public roads or are in traffic follow specific rules mainly regarding safety, responsibility, tolerances, etc.... (gas stations/auto dealers/convinience stores/restaurants/etc... participate in them and its clearly known - Im not going into detail here just know it's safer than your drive to work, plus why would you put yerself in the position of a potential accident/incident/tickets/pulled over etc....)
Note: those Vettes supposedly racing - One of em was trying to avoid a BBQ sized piece of debris/garbage that fell off a truck or trailer
those 2 guys on Younge St who killed was way outta line, now Im not standing up for them in what Im about to say so I dont wanna get blasted, but the same accident (killing) would have occured if it was the same guy just speeding all by himself on the road and not a race as ppl speed all the time (sometimes violently) and run stop signs and red lights. Media just jumps on it cuz the street racing thing is hot right now. Everyone just needs to be carefull cuz anyone can be hit by a speeding big rig/soccer mom/drunk driver/tired driver/ppl late for work/emergency vehicles/ or a street racer
PS - when I said are ya afraid to race someone who took parents cars, it was meant as a joke/ribbing/burn/lol
so street racing rules - if yer gonna do it, be safe and responsible
