New Record Time For a slightly modified block Turbo Buick
One of the Toronto guys went 9.68@139.93mph at cayuga today,
he has run a bunch of 10.0 runs then he upgraded his turbo,
They wouldn't let him run again, this is a street car with no roll cage...
I'll post the Video when they post it on the Buick board...
He has installed Billett steel main caps and arp studs, forged pistons.
Still stock crank and rods that don't tend to like that kind of power....

seen him run that car alot going 10.00 10.10 and never got booted off the track for no roll bar.
Ever since that jet car crash, I think Cayuga had to step up on the enforcment. I know of a few guys that ran well past the 11.49 mark that never got bothered before and now they do.

I know that really sucks. I'm going to have to get a cage put in this winter, along with an external kill switch for my trunk mounted battery
Congrats on the awesome time!!!

Tech is one thing, slicks or not.
They notice who have and dont have roll bars/cages and how fast they go now.
I guess I`ll have to put a 6 point in mine for next year.
Cars not original so I dont mind cutting it up.

I want to race mine at the track with no problems. The price tag for street racing is getting too high now. Not really worth the risk.
I would rather pay my fee to race and make more than one pass before I get told I cant run anymore.
I was going to buy a real GN before I got this car but with the rising value of them, I would hate to cut up a real one. Thats why I got thiss one.
Has everything the GN has and if I cut it up for a cage or bigger tires, I`m not hurting the value.

There's a Regal GS that does 10.2 with a Turbo/IC and a few other small things, but completly stock bottom end. It's a daily driver I lost the video of it
He could hit 9's, but it's got a full interior and everything. No weight reduction besides the spare tire out.

Cartuning - a LOCAL company ! That's one of a few Turbo suppliers for 3800 Series II and III motors.
EDIT Say you have a 2005 Grand Prix, are you a memeber of OQCGP.com ?
