Day 1 Tag's RWD Civic Rebuild Comeback
The RWD Civic Comeback
Day 1
Ok, so everyone knows that Mel from Tag RaceCraft crashed the RWD Honda Civic on the finals againts Paul from Splitfire at the 2nd CSCS event in Grand Bend. Everyone has probably seen the pictures or saw the videos... Some people think Mel is out of the series, while others know he's rebuilding the car but still think he won't make it in time. If you are one of those people with no faith, be in for a real shocker because they have started the rebuild project and already at a good start. Today was the first of many long hours at Tag Racecraft and they have successfully striped the front, side, and parts of the rear. The good news is that the motor, turbo, intercooler, blow-off valve, radiator, and fan are still intact. The brakes and tires are also in good condition, but the bad news is that they have to fix up the chassis and replace a few small parts. The new body is already in storage, ready to be striped and placed on top of the chassis that is currently being rebuilt from whatever survived the crash. Mel believes that the chassis should be ready by next week and the car should be up and running in two weeks. "The Chassis is still in good condition", qoutes Mel. "All it needs is some work, but it's just like Nascar, all we have to do is chop and weld whatever needs fixing and put a new shell on it". Whats also a surprise is that Mel now has a few sponsers backing him up on the project, but that information is currently being kept away from the public... But as the project takes flight, we will be following and updating on every step of this comeback story. So to all those people that doubted Tag ever coming back, be aware that they are ready and willing to prove you wrong...

Sounds good. I bet they'll make it back out in time... they seem to have the determination. This reminds me of those motor-cycle building shows on the Discovery channel, where they are rushing near the end to complete something.
