Ya man, I don't discriminate against people or cars, so everyone here is welcome to come out, thats why it's posted here.

It don't cost a thing to come out, it's all fer fun, I've also got some races I plan, wierd different events, and more cruises coming up, but unless theres a greater interest I might stop holding them and making them available to everyone. I usually only hold these for my car club and for other places I belong to and I get a great response each time from them, but this year when I made it available to everyone it seems like no one cares and I just dont understand that. If there's a weak turn out this time, I might just cancell them cuz it takes a lot of my time to set everything up.

All I ask is if you plan on comming out - register in the thunder run forums so you can get all the updates as the date, times, locations might change out of the blue - this way you see everything on my boards and I can e-mail updates. The last one I held on June 7, the ppl who came out, we all decided to do something a lil different, then I get ***** from ppl who just showed up but missed it all, its not my fault cuz I had no idea that they were comming, things change, be aware, sign up.

It's important when you register in the thunder run forums to also R.S.V.P. your intentions (if you are coming, maybe, or cant make it) and at which pick up stop you plan on being at, cuz if no one says they're gonna be at a specific spot, we might skip that pick up stop cuz we didn't expect anyone to be there.

If yer interested - please register+R.S.V.P.

is there any pics that u can show us of the event? how was the turnout for the june 7th event? personally, it'd be more fun if there's a spot which it's safe to street race a lil bit, some small hidden area with no cars, and no cops, else, just running ur car from one town to the other without doing anything interesting is kinda wasting gas, isnt it ? more fun if there's more interaction between members during the cruise

Naw unfortunatly I dont have any pic's to show, I shoot using an older analouge video camera (which I need to convert to digital and then grab stills from) and I did'nt have any video tape left that day to film anything (June7). A few ppl turned out (5 cars, seven ppl) and we met at the pickup points and decided cuz of the lack of ppl that we would save the cruise route for some other time when more ppl attend, so we just cruised around, did some im promtu racing, went into Toronto and hit a patio. Now Im not gonna say we race during these things (prying eyes ya know) but it happens, it all depends on the ppl who show up. Now when these same events are done with my club we do all sorts of things that I wont get into here, but the thunder runs that I put on here are a sedated version of what I normally do mainly cuz I dont know the ppl coming out and don't want trouble (idiots I dont know showing up causing accidents and drawing negative attention). Running from one town to the next is only a waste of gas if you see it that way, bikers get together and cruise around all the time without there always being a race right?, cruise ins happen every week at the same place + same ppl - is that a waste of gas?, do you ever just get together with friends and go cruiseing around?, well it's kinda the same thing, you get together with some like minded ppl who also enjoy cars and have like a mini day trip, I get super bored just cruiseing to one spot and sitting there. Yes I agree it's more fun where there is interaction between ppl during the cruise - but as stated it all depends on the type of ppl that come out. Now my club is a different story all together, but only select ppl get in. Any suggestions you have are appreciated.
Basically I try n keep a low profile here online, if we ever meet up and I get ta know ya a bit, I'll fill ya in on a lot. Basically the event is what you make it, I just set up a basic framework and let what ever happens - happen.

There are a dozen ppl registered in my forums with another 20 on an e-mailing list.

Now why would you say this? Are you a horrible driver?, is yer exhaust dragging on the road 20 feet behind by a coathanger?, do you drive double the posted limit? do you draw undue attention to yerself?, are yer windows covered in so many stickers that you cannot properly see out?, why say that?..........and why would someones car get stolen?, do you leave yer keys in the ignition with the windows down?

I put on my first thunder run over 15 yrs ago and no one has ever got a ticket (while with me anyways.. afterwards I dunno) and no has ever had their car stolen, it's kinda hard since yer gonna be in it or 50 feet away from it, plus other car cruisers will be around, you plan on stealing someones car?

I've got stories of the Highway being closed down for private races, others are races with bets in the 10's of thousands, I've seen and been involed in some hard core *****` without a single ticket - but those things dont happen on THESE cruises, this one is just for fun, it's NOT a compitition. If you wanna do something that will net you a ticket - do it on yer own time and not around me. I plan out a nice quiet cruise and not races, you ever get together with yer buddies at Timmys?, ever get a ticket for being there or have yer car stolen? - if so - sit this one out.

Now it should also be said that the ppl who have come out in the past were usually 25+, intelligent, mature, decent ppl who would not uneccessarily endanger anyone else or their property and mainly drove muscle cars/classic cars/hot rods/vipers/etc... If yer a GIT, then don't show, if ya act like an *** while on the cruise or drive like a 8yr old playing a video game - you will be removed. If you still decide to follow after being getisened - there are methods to deal with that.

These cruises are not comprised of a bunch of 16 yr olds trying to prove something (no offence intended to teenagers), rather they are intended for ppl who are knowledgeable about cars or are enthusiasts and want to get together and meet others the same. If you prove yer metel while out with us - you may be asked to join in on other things/events that are not made public.

Ever since I made this available to under 25 yr olds, it's been quite sad, you guys are always saying you want something new or cool to do, then when it's made available you make bad excuses not come out, WHY??????

So, why say what you said?

the reality is, for the civic guys and many others, these meets are just an excuse for the crooks to wake up and come out.
But that can happen anytime, not just at a meet.

I think the car meets of the older generation differ a ton from the meets of todays generation. Older generation tends to park the attitude at the door when they meet up, willing to talk and share info while much of the younger crowd meets are clicky and not so open to talk or discuss what they have (fear of theifs).

Sucks, but thats the reality.

Kuztom Freak, get a digi cam, im sure a ton of people would love to see the pictures

Wow - I thought the "steal a car" trend died off, but what I see lately it seems like it's returned. But a car can be stolen from anywhere and scouted out from anywhere - enjoy yer ride as much as you can, take anti theft precautions, and dont just lock it in the garage 24/7. I remember a time when ppl sourced out auto trader and went looking to steal any type of car that had $20k+ motors, in any case it all sucks.

Older generation tends to park the attitude at the door when they meet up, willing to talk and share info while much of the younger crowd meets are clicky and not so open to talk or discuss what they have (fear of theifs).
I've seen a variety of it all, some serious racers never open their hoods or talk about whats under there, and then there are those who bragg and exagerate, some love to talk about how they built/engeneered something and some give you dirty looks if ya come 20 feet of their car. It takes all kinds.

Im out here just putting together a nice lil cruise for enthusiasts to get together, make new friends, have a good fun time - hopefully, lol. I've got other things in the works (car related events) and am considering posting them here but there's been very little interest in what I do so I might not (dont wanna waste my time), honestly - I thought I'd get flooded with ppl who wanted to come out from here, no such thing and I dunno why - maybe cuz most ppl don't like mixing with older/younger ppl or diff classes of rides, but I do. Im happy to say that I've come across a bunch of ppl from here that I'd like to actually meet at some time.

Kuztom Freak, get a digi cam, im sure a ton of people would love to see the pictures
I shoot video, analouge till I find a digital that I like, I run out of tape a lot

why is my graduation on that day -_-
Dont worry, there will be more

Thats why I do these - I love meeting car nuts too, dont appologize for yer age as its character/personality/attitude/maturity that counts. Im 32, love all kinds of rides n ppl and don't particularily fit anywhere - a true misfit of sorts
