911 turbo crash on highway 7
#4
it was some old guy, this is the story from one of the the cops:
A protege slammed on the breaks for some reason, geting rear ended by a corsica, everything seemed like a typical crash, untill the porsche... going 120 km/hr the porsche was unable to stop and hit the corsica from behind, now imagine this
because of the porsches height it went underneath the corsica, wedgint the front of the car between the protege and the frong of the porsche, the back wheels of the corsica were on the roof of the porsche..... ... funnier still was the tow truck drivers trying to break this thing apart illustration, shitty)

I had to go before but thats not the end of the story, they supported the corsica a little and took out the protege, then proceeded to take out the porsche, now from the side comes another tow truck, I dont know what they were thinking but they started pulling the porsche out, not backwards, noooo thats too easy..... sideways! Thats right. The tow truck hooked up a nice chain to the back wheel and started pulling(see illustration)

right there im thinking, something is gonna up, and it did, the chain ripped through almost half the back right quarter panel, all the while the owner is basically crying and tearing his hair out. poor porsche owner, had nice exhaust too, damn....

That really sucks.
That really sucks.
They just work better when they're warm... but still... the stopping power when cold is more then enough to set benchmarks...
Good brakes still won't compensate for a stupid *** driver, so don't be too quick on blaming it on the car.

relax....
Not blaming it on the car. Just wondering which model it was. I'm expressing my thoughts based on my experience. First time i hit the brakes in a GT2 i was going slow and it didn't feel right, as i was expecting a "BITE". My reaction was, I let off and hit them again. At speed it's a diferent story, they bite hard almost instantly, only after they get some heat in them. So maybe this guy was very inexperienced, didn't relize how fast he was going, and paniced.
Just curious.
