I would like to purchase a new exaust kit for my 99 grand prix.

I was thinking it over..and I think I wana take it easy on the car audio for now..and purchase a new performance exhaust kit. Cat, Muffler, all that good stuff. I was just wondering if someone could help me with my research and give me a few good brands. Im not looking for the blender sound, 6 cylinders...I would like a more powerful sound. Something to boost my ego :P...joking.

Where would I purchase these parts, and how much am I looking at (ballpark).

Thanks guys.

Good day Smith,

It seems you have done little to no research at all and thats ok. It depends what you want. The problem is that there are exhausts from $500.00 to over $1250.00 for the GP.

You need to consider drone for long highway driving etc.

I got mine custom made and it satisfies my needs. Its alright for hwy, but when its WOT, man you get a smile on your face.

Zoro muffler can do the work for you but they are really expensive. I got mine done through my club shop that used to be up but or mechanic retired.

Let me know if you have any questions. Furthurmore if you are planning to mod it down the road you might want to go to a 3inch pipe. Stock is 2 1/4.

Magnaflow or Flowmaster would be my first choices...

I have Magnaflow's on my 97 GTP and just love the sound! The cabin noise is a bit loud but once I Dynomat the trunk it should tone it down...exterior sound is awesome though!

Here's a few pics:
