Odyssey with Electrical Problems...related to cig. lighter port?
My car is hesitating when starting
Recently, I brought it in for scheduled mntnce & said that some lights on the dash were out. They replaced the bulbs, and the tach was fine. I saw (before I drove off) that the light illuminating the gear letters was out, so they also fixed that. It was daytime.
I didn't notice until a week later that the interior lights no longer worked.
This car has a history...
1. The light indicating the front defogger has not been working, or working intermittently.
2. A year or more ago the headlights went out on one side, and they said it was caused by the "cell phone charger." Since I was using a cheap off-brand charger, I thought that the charger itself was the problem, rather than the port FOR the charger/cig. lighter.
BUT THIS IS WEIRD .
I've had trouble starting the car recently. Last night I removed the new phone charger...and this a.m., the INTERIOR LIGHTS WORKED. The defogger light worked, but would go off. And it was harder to start.

your problem sounds like it can only be a fuse causing this
remove all fuses from the fuse box holder.get hold of electrical contact spray, spray fuse box and replace fuses after checking that all fuses is 100%. also check battery terminals is clean and all wires on terminal is making contact. also check under dash for loose ground wires.
