My maint. light came on at 34,000 on my crv. How do I reset it.?

You need to do more than what you have done so far. To get the light to go off you will have to clear the code that is causing the light to be on. If the problem has been fixed--and it probably hasn't, then you might be able to disconnect the battery and reconnect it after about an hour. There could be any number of things wrong, like a problematic oxygen sensor or something, and it will have to be repaired to get the light to go off. You need to take it to a shop, or an AutoZone could probably even do this, and have them hook up the machine to see what code is showing. Once you know what code is showing, then you will know where the problem is.
