I just bought a 2007 HONDA FIT. How long should i let the engine warm up in...

...the morning before i drive it? how will i know it's ready to drive? it has no temperature gage. instead a light comes on when it is either too hot or too cold. normally both lights are off. i've actually never seen the overheat one, but when i turn the car on first thing in the morning the blue "Cold" light is on.

new engines now, are broke in before they are installed in the car. they get a run test. just make sure all the check engine lights go off then keep it slow for a couple miles then drive normally.
