Could it be just a fuse or simple fix? The clock burned out at about 150,000 miles. I keep hearing (on Honda CRV websites) that it is the soldered circuit of the clock and the entire clock must be replaced (or the bad circuit resoldered). The dealer gave me an estimate of $236 for the clock + $90 for labor. Please don't tell me the obvious like "Buy a $5 stick-on clock from a discount store" or "Buy a new radio with a clock from an electronics store" and such. Could it be just a burned-out fuse? If so, which fuse should I look for? I know a lot of the fuses are under the dash near the driver's door. Could the clock just pop out from the dash without having to remove the whole fascia? I could then do it myself and save labor costs. I am interested in keeping this 180,000 mile vehicle 100% functional (which it is now, except for the clock). Please answer. Thank you in advance.
