I have rode dirtbikes and what not, i am going to go take a safty motorcylce course, i learn and establish my limits really fast. but i was just wanting some pointers on Street Bikes, i dont want to was my money on getting a 250 when i know im just going to sell it in a couple of months or so. Iv had multiple people tell me that you can learn on a 600 as long as you take it slow, and don't do stupid things. So i was wondering if any experienced bikers could give me some pointers

Get the best helmet and safety gear you can afford and wear it all the time. ATGATT (all the gear all the time). Learn,Know and ride within your abilities. Avoid busy roads and riding during busy times as much as possible for a few hundred miles. If you ride with friends that are experienced riders, DON'T let them pressure you into riding beyond your ability. Trying to keep up will get you in over your head really quick. be safe, don't be a statistic.
