Honda Fit with Premium gas?

Honda Fit with Premium gas?
I have this Honda Fit with a 1.5L It has a compression ratio of 10:4
It says in the owners manual that it uses regular unleaded but you can put higher grade.
If I put a higher grade of gas, should I expect better performance and better gas mileage because its a hotter more complete burn that becomes possible?
The engine compensates for the cheaper gas by manipulating the valve timing and ignition.

People have told me in their Honda's they put premium and net better gas mileage. Even still I know people who put regular in their premium only vehicle with no problems to save money.
Either way premium won't hurt your car but there is no HP advantage possibly only a slight bump in mileage.
Try premium and record your mileage results.
