you could buy a specialized bi-cycle called a motorbike which runs in petrol.

Type scooters in you goggle search engine. I almost bought one on line. they run about $1,000-$1,100 for a good one. they will deliver it direct to your house for free. there is minor assembly req'd (2) hours worth. They are 4 stroke 49cc displacement motors that run on unleaded gas. Top speed is about 30 MPH and you don't need a license or registration to ride one.

I know you can get better pricing if you look harder but this is a good place to start. The brand I was looking was called Euro

Good luck. I will do some searching to see if I can find the dealer that gave me the best price check back in a little bit.

I reckon you are thinking of a moped.

I had one in the 60s, and I could just about get 30mph by pedalling like crazy!
