insurance!!!!? We got a ticket for 750 dollars!!! So my question is we got the ticket yesterday night 10-2-07(no insurance), we quickly went online after and purchased insurance, problem is it starts the 10-3-07, one day after. the cops said if we brought proof of insurance, the ticket would go down drastically, will that still be the case even though we didn't have insurance at the time we got pulled over, and if we go prove that we do now?? Will they accept it now???? Or will we still have to pay 750 dollars!

It depends on the state but usually they'll take that into considertion if you go into court to contest the ticket - the speed with which you got insurance.

You will still have to pay the fine. If you got into an accident on the 2nd, your insurance would not cover it even if it went into force the next day. If they waived the fine, everyone would do that. You can try asking that insuraance co to backdate your insurance a day (I dont know if they would, but its worth a shot)

You would still have to pay the full amount. The real question is why you don't have insurance in the first place... especially on a motorcycle?

Hate to say it, but it serves you right ... if you can't afford to buy insurance, you shouldn't be riding at all>
