Of course these times are with a good rider and on a bike rider makes all the difference. But it's funny seeing posts pop up about some guy in his bolt-on Cavalier or Civic talk about beating a modern 600R bike.

From a stop, bikes in the hands of semi-capable rider are deadly. The two cases that I can think of where a bike can be beaten are from a dead dig with a newbie rider or from a roll if its a 600.
Real world experience:
I never lost to a car on my gsxr750, but on my bone stock '96 zx6-r, i lost to my friend's stock C5 on the way to cayuga. At the track, I ran a 11.7 @ 118 to his 12.8@ 113mph. However, everytime we ran from a 120ish start on the highway, the winner would be whoever hit it first. Im sure more modern 600's will have a bit more umph on the top end, but the fact remains that a car with 450ish rwhp should be able to take on a 600 if you start from highway spds.

I'll be running my friends CBR929RR this summer. He's about 230-250lbs and I don't think he'll really launch it against me (he doesn't take me seriously, says he'll pass me on 1 wheel), so if he doesn't launch it good, he could be in for a big surprise. I had np's walking away from R6's on the highway with my last car, and this one will be much faster, so its going to be interesting. I'll let you guys know what happens.

Anyways i went 11.6 last year on a cbr 600 f4i and thats not the sportiest of bikes, but can compare to a 600rr. I had just bolt ons and a Powercommander.
