Is is tricky to hook up a new speedo cable in...
...ninja 250s? I was shown in person how to replace my speedo cable, and later picked up a new cable from the dealership. It is an unmarked cable, but the parts guy thinks there's a good chance it's the one I need. This new cable has one forked end (seems to fit on the wheel), and one end that is solid. I can see that the forked end is supposed to go on the wheel, but the other end doesn't fit into the back of my instrument panel. I removed only the windshield and kind of felt around blindly and tried to twist the cable into place. At first I thought that it was definitely the wrong cable, and I tried to put my old cable back on, and it didn't go on either! I can't help but think I'm doing something completely wrong and that there is really a simple solution. I'd rather not have to take the front fairing off, but it will give me a better view of the back of the instrument panel. any tips for me?
