So me and this guy i work with were talking about racing for like a month. He has a 2005 Accord V6, 240 hp, 212 tq, and V-tec. So finally tonight we raced from a stop to about 90. I had him a full car length behind at like....75, and then he VERY slowly started creeping up and we were neck a neck. I was arguing it as a tie but he said he was ahead by a little bit and by the way he was climbing i didnt make that big of a deal about it. He wouldnt let me power break at the launch either or else i would have beat him

why would u want to brake torque it? just to spin and lose traction and get a worse launch? thats kidna stupid unless u mean give it gas with the brake down just about to where u spin but dont. then u can get a higher rpm as u launch, but if you were trying to brake torque/powerbrake or w/e u said, that would be kinda stupid. at least u didnt get your *** hadned to u, and now when u get more mods u can race again and beat him.

its not V-TECH its a iV-TEC........and yes there is a difference the iV-TEC is way better.
Well, I coulda told you before yall raced he woulda won. Are accord is the same model (coupe) The thing picks up and goes really quick. Even if you did power break if he woulda had a excellent launch he probaby would took you. Trust me while dad was gone for a week I had fun with the accord

Also, i think that if i would have done the power break launch i would have added a gap just enough to keep him from coming up and passing me before we shut it down..actually i guarantee it.

i wouldn't be too p*ssed about it, you said he has like 240 horse and 212 torque? i'm not sure what the torque numbers are on the v6 camaros but i'm sure its more than 212 but the hp is somewhere around 200. thats what killed you on the top end, like a 40 hp difference...i'd say it was a good race, just mod some more and stomp him
