not really a kill...more of a run.

so around christmas time a few buddies that moved to AZ for schooling came into town to be with their families and such. one night we all meet up at this pizza joint (Bortolami's) and we're hangin out there and one guy we all knew from highschool was on his way. we all knew he had this older honda civic that was supposed to be pretty trick. he pulls into the parkinglot out side the large front window that faces the street and he stops at the window and crazily revvs the engine outside so we could all very well hear (he works there btw). anyway he comes in we all eat chat have a good time, i overheard something about a new engine that he put in his civic.(not sure what or if it's even true :s)
so we all decide we're gonna go bowling. we hit this one place and it's lanes are full. but wait. my friend with the civic ain't here yet...oh there he is. he pulls in front of us and revves his engine again, this time, he drops the clutch and does a fwd burnout to impress all. after there we went on our way to this other bowling alley about ten minutes away via SR500. we get on main st and stop at this empty four way.
the way dead ahead is the way to merge onto SR500. and the civic is in front of me, i'm in my firebird, and i've got another friend in a Crown Vic behind me. The civic takes off and starts movin pretty good. i come to a near complete stop and then mash on it (not a smart move because it was wet) i spun the tires thru most of first gear and started to watch my distance on the civic to see how much i closed by if at all. (of course this means i didn't see the RPM's to make sure i was gettin to the redline, and i know i wasn't) into second gear and my tires hook up nice and fine and i'm pullin hard and stayin dead even with him. not loosing distance behind and not gaining. nearing 50 now, into third and past 60 it almost seems like he's gaining for a split second but then when i threw it into fourth and we're entirely merged now, i really really start to gain on him. but i shortly after shut down because i was going to rearend him. and we were fast approaching a stoplight.

so i guess it was a fast civic...or my car's slow :s i don't know. it was a good run. tons of fun.
sorry for the massive amount of detail and pointless meaningless banter. it was my first story so i wanted to make the best of it.
comments?

Sounds good nice kill there is a guy that lives around my house they have 4 hatchback civics I got behide one at a light and it said enfast on the back taillight. so he sees me behide him and he starts revin his motor so I start powerbraking the light turns green and he nails it I went around him. so I shut down and he comes flying but churpin his tires as he down shifted into second so I nail it but it was too late casue we were both coming up on a light we get to the light and I get behide him there is smoke pouring out of his fartpipe. anyway I here they all go to the dragstrip around here so i think I am going to go and really race one.
