Looking beyond the fact that it's illegal to register an EVO in canada. I just went through a spec sheet for the EVO 8 and it appears that the TOP speed is 157mph. Therefore you must mean that you can easily hit 200kph...right??? Which is pretty sad because my stock car with the stock motor at 130hp could do that and then some with relative ease.

its not all that hard to bring in an evo. when you purchase you call the canada customs agency and get them to send you a 'schedule 7' - which basically states that you are bringing up the car for testing and display use (ie showcar). its costs like $70.00 and then you can bring the car in.
that being said, I've got 200 bucks that says you didn't outrun a lambo - and if you did, it was because he wasn't trying.

OK. But can you register and drive it here legally? Or does it become a trailor queen.

The guys at Ultimate Racing had one, but it can not be registered legally in Canada. Car was purchased in the US, registered with US plates and insured there too. They mostly used the car for testing and track days. If someone uses it for daily driving under these circumstances, it will get in trouble soon or later. In regards about beating a 99 lambo, this evo will need at least 500 WHP if not more. I have done 180 mph with my car twice, I still had more rpm left on 6 gear to play but both times I did shut her down cause being caught at those speed’s it will be enough for jail time I guess.

Its intercooler, mounted down in the bottom half of the front bumper, is vulnerable to damage in a 8 km/h frontal crash test. Canada stipulates that a car should be able to hit something at that speed and not be damaged.
