Oh !@#$ handle loose
2006 Sonata GLS...
An elderly relative grabbed the front passenger side "oh !@#$!" handle
and now it's popped loose from one end. The handle, that is.
What I have is the plastic trim part with a screw sticking out of
it. The rear connection is still holding but looks loose.
There is a nut or fastener of some type loose up inside the
headliner. I can hear it rattling around.
How hard is it going to be to get that loose part out of the
headliner? Is this an insane job that will wreck the fit and
finish?
How hard is it going to be to put the handle back up? I am open to
reinstalling it with fasteners that do not pop out so easily.
TIA

Re: Oh !@#$ handle loose
Just rescrew it together. The part in the headliner you hear rattling
around is actually a piece about the size of the grip handle itself. Once
the screws are appropriately tightened, nothing should rattle, and the
handle shouldn't come loose again.
