ODB CODES
I have the obd code P0128 and P1133 in my 2001 accent..
I need someone to tell me what kind of troubleshooting do with these codes,
I have the scanner but i need a program or somebody that can help me with the
definition of the codes.
In the P0128 code it says that the temperature is too low. I change the
termostat and the light came back again in a couple of days, im thinking of
changing the coolant sensor. Everything is ok, the fan is working , the
coolant fluid is new and the temperature is good also.
Any other thing that you guys think could be?
In the P1133 code it says something about the oxygen sensor, Maybe it needs
to be replaced?
Any help would be great ,thanks.

P0128 means that it takes the car too long to reach operating temperature.
This could be caused by a stuck open thermostat, or one with too low a
temperature rating (so be sure you installed the proper temp thermostat).
It could also be caused by excessive resistance in the temperature sensor
circuit. This is a rare code on this car. Any chance you got the codes
partially mixed up (see below)? P1128 is a common code for 1.5L accents
of your vintage, usually due to a defective air flow sensor.

I am really sure that the thermostat is the right one, is the original, So
maybe is the coolant sensor?
You write something about the air flow sensor, this has something to do with
the temperature on the motor?
That is sensor located next to the air filter to the throtle body?
On the other code (P1133) i check everything and there is no leak on the
exhaust so you think is a deffective oxygen sensor?

earlier post you say you replaced it. If you mean that you replaced it
with a dealer supplied part, that should be good.

Hi: Thanks for the reply.
Your'e right, The thermostat that I replaced it was a dealer supplied part
(original), and i compare both of them(the old one and the new one) and they
are the same.
So you think it could be the coolant sensor?
On the P1333 Code, maybe it was P0133 Im not really sure right know, but it
has something to do with the oxygen sensor.
Supose it was P0133 and i check that there is no leak on the exhaust, you
think it could be the oxygen sensor the problem?

Since the thermostat was factory, my next guess would be the coolant temp
sensor. But that doesn't mean it cannot be high resistance in the wiring
or in one of the connectors.
If you've got a P0133 and no exhaust leaks, the problem is pretty much
guaranteed to be the upstream oxygen sensor.
