Hyundai Sonata 2006 V6 Mileage Statistics
Here are my fuel consumption records so far. Columns may not align
depending upon the font. Copy the text and paste it into a text editor
(Notepad) for easy viewing.
Mostly city driving with just the driver and with way too many signal
lights. Vehicle was purchased in mid-December.

that's about what I am getting, Just got to Cgicago with 5000 miles on
odo. averaged 31.6 MPH for first 90 miles to Hannibal MO driving 65MPH.
From Hannibal to Chicago averaged 26 MPH driving 75 MPH with strong north
wind (HeadWind..) NOw have 5000 miles on it and brake rotor still scoring
and sweaking....
even with my foot off the brakes. Hyundayu tech: Hope my dealer will fix
this when i get back to Calif...

Do you know what your local blend is? Around here (NJ) we blend with
Ethanol in the summer. Gas mileage seems to drop a bit with Ethanol. Up
until last year we used MTBE to blend, but that is banned now. MTBE seemed
to increase mileage a bit in studies anyway.

Ethanol in the summer. Gas mileage seems to drop a bit with Ethanol. Up

Do you know what your local blend is? Around here (NJ) we blend with
Ethanol in the summer. Gas mileage seems to drop a bit with Ethanol. Up
until last year we used MTBE to blend, but that is banned now. MTBE seemed
to increase mileage a bit in studies anyway.

No, unfortunately, I don't know what the difference in blends are. I
just know they use a formulation in the winter than allows easier
starting in subzero weather. I think the blend has a higher RVP so that
it is more volatile at low temps, but I don't know what the chemistry of
the winter blend is or summer blend either.
