Has this happened to your Santa Fe?
I have a 2002 Santa Fe GLS V6, the other day went to start it and the key
would not move, shifter was locked solid, pressed on the brake, did the
usual stuff to make it work then finally the key turned, happened one time
about a year ago, seeing the dealer Monday.

Move your steering wheel slightly (left/right) and try again.

This also happens when the car is moved from impact even though no damage is
visible.

Happens all the time on most cars. It is the stearing whell lock
(happens alot on Fords). A slight turn of the wheel typically left
(but maybe right) while turning the key will "unlock" it. It's a
"feature" Typically will happen when you park up against a curb or a
similar hard item with one or both wheels.
