Had the 2-3 upshift TSB applied 2004 Sonata
For those of you who haven't had TSB 04-40-006
http://www.hmaservice.com/webtech/ii...146#_394895146 applied
yet, you should get it done.
For all that complained about the high revs in second gear when engine is
cold, this is the fix for it---had mine done yesterday, and no more high
revs, smoother shifts, and no shift flares---
Good job, Hyundai---

Re: Had the 2-3 upshift TSB applied 2004 Sonata
Anyone know if this helps the 2-3 shift in 'Sportronic' mode?
My auto seems AOK, but I've noticed a slight lag on the 2-3 upshift
when picking gears by hand. This is my first 'manu-matic' car, so I
don't have any baseline to compare.
BTW, the tach either ratchets as it moves (esp low in the range, from
idle to 3000) or on occasion it will just be dead at startup until the
next shutdown/restart (usually the first drive in a day or two).
Anyone know if this will be a PITA to get fixed (ie, leave the car,
etc)?
Otherwise, we love it so far!

.... or you can just drive a manual and this is never a problem to
begin with ;-)

**Don't worry, Moshe, the rest of us got the joke. Maybe someday
Acey will learn that you don't have to reply at all instead of
misusing PLONK.

Apologies for any premature plonkage. I was feeling troll-sensitive
at that time. [And you're wrong about my humor coefficient].

**Hi Acey It's cool. I know what you mean about being troll
sensitive, some idiot just flooded two Star Trek NGs with 4000+
messages. What a schmuck!
Looking forward to some dazzling displays of comedy
