This would be a custom fabricated setup and would require changing all the
electronic controls and an incredible amount of wiring. The vehicle is
also not strong enough to handle the power of an engine with as much power
as the 2.7. I've heard reports of people using Elantra 1.6/1.8/2.0
engines, but don't know what extent of custom work is necessary. If this
is something you're considering doing yourself, you're probably better off
not beginning with a project this large.
There are many technical issues which (based on your previous posts) you
don't seem to have the knowledge to understand or troubleshoot. Please
don't take that to be degrading. I don't mean it that way. I just think
that if you start a project like this, you'd be getting in way over your
head. Realistically, you'd want a pretty good operating knowledge of how
everything on the vehicle operates to undertake such a job.

I would imagine the setup would also require extensive relocation of
suspension equipment, battery etc... Also there would probably not be
enough room for the AC pump. Even if you could shoe horn the 2.7 in, the
weight gain and modest power upgrade (176hp I think) would not be justified.
Your better bet would be either the 2.0 swap, or have a performance engine
shop strengthen your current engine, throw a turbo and maybe some nitrous on
it and call it a day (~$5000 probably). HP and TQ numbers would be much
better than the 2.7, and it would not require near the magnitude of
fabrication. I would imagine the 2.7 swap would run over 8-10k after all
the fabrication. The 2.0 swap would be cheapest, but power gain would not
be worth the swap.
