attn Hyundai tech:Hyundai 2002 XG350 10/100 extra
Had the check engine light come on not far from my local dealer. Stopped by
the dealer, got an appointment to have it checked out. If it is some sort
of sensor at the edge of tolerance, is it covered by my 10/100 bumper to
bumper warranty? The shop manager says it might not be covered. If I don't
want to pay them some ridicu;ously high labor and part rate, can I get it
repaired somewhere else and still maintain my warranty? I am starting to
believe that the $1400 dollar price tag for this warranty was not such a
DEAL DEAL after all.
Thanks in Advance.

Who did you buy the warranty from? They should know if it is covered. If
it is truly a bumper to bumper deal, it should be, but I can't read the
terms from here.
Seems to me, they would know the answers to your questions since they know
what warranty you have.

They are going to need more specifics than "If... some sort of sensor..." as
well.

You are always better advised to ask questions like yours, directly of the
contract holder, than posting them on the internet.

Well EXCUSE ME Mike. So far I've got a lot more information that is correct
from people here than from my not so honest dealer. These sons a bitches
here in Springfield Mo. are so crooked that they would charge me and the
Warranty holder for the same work THREE times if they could get away with
it. These are the same folks that wanted close to $900.00 for a $100
dollars worth of required warranty maintainance at 30,000 miles. Would YOU
take their word on ANYTHING as the truth?

The point being - nobody here can see the actual contract you have, nor know
the actual problem with your car. You can get as testy as you want with my
reply, but you'll find out that if there is an issue with your contract and
you're going to reach some degree of satisfaction, it's not going to come
from the internet - it's going to come from working it out with whoever sold
you/holds the contract.
