The only thing you can do easily is to give a look to fuses and replace that
one you find open.
Else, it is a problem to relay and it need to be replaced.
Another possibility is a short circuit somewhere.

Re: 97 Sonata NO TURN SIGNALS OR HAZARDS
If all the fuses are good, you likely have either a bad hazard switch or a
bad turn signal flasher unit. The flasher is solid state and can't
readily be checked. You're left to see if power travels through the
hazard switch to the flasher unit properly. In most cases where the
hazards and turn signals both don't work, it's the flasher relay. Check
the hazard switch to see if it feels like it moves properly. If so, you
may want to replace the flasher relay. Its cost is probably less than the
diag time to check the system. You should be able to pick one up at any
Hyundai dealer in town. Antwerpen does the most business in Baltimore, so
they're more likely to have one than the others.

Where is the flasher relay located in the Sonata? Maybe I can buy one and
replace it myself...

Re: 97 Sonata NO TURN SIGNALS OR HAZARDS
It's in the "passenger compartment relay box" under the left side of the
dash. You'll have to stick your head under the dash and look up to see
it. It will likely be the largest relay there. If you have the new part
ahead of time, this will help you figure things out. To remove, you must
press in the two tabs on either side of the relay and pull out.

97 Sonata NO TURN SIGNALS OR HAZARDS
Hi, I replaced the flasher relay, and still no turn signals. The
hazards worked once, but then stopped working. What would be my next
step?
Thanks in advance.
