2004 4WD Santa Fe Vibration coming from Dash
I thought that perhaps the source was either the ashtray or the CD's in the
in dash unit, but after removing both from the vehicle the rattle is still
present. It gets even worse when on grooved pavement surfaces. I have 1403
miles on the Santy so therefore I'm sure its covered. Got any ideas?

I discovered one also, mine is a small "buzz like" vibration rattle coming
from the dash I thought. It was actually audible from the outside when you
thump the drivers door near the mirror. sounds like it is in the door.

Re: 2004 4WD Santa Fe Vibration coming from Dash
Ditto my 2004 Santy. Buzzing sound seemed to be coming from the
ashtray area. I sprayed some silicone lube around the plastic/chrome shifter
bezel, out near the edges. Cleared it right up. Hope this could possibly
solve your problem.

Re: 2004 4WD Santa Fe Vibration coming from Dash
I have the same rattle. I was thiking of taking the glove box out and
seeing if I can look into the dash through the left side of the opening.
The rattle is coming from just above the CD player, as best as I can
determine. I might have the dealer try to find it before I do this,
however.
