my 2001 hyundaiu aonata lost power, rpms went down to zero and then
quit.the car would not restart. my mechanic says that the crankshaft
has moved and broke off the crakshaft sensor, is this posible. my
options are to replace or rebuild the engine.

 

Haven't seen it before, but it's possible. Sounds pretty bad. Be sure to
consider cost of repair vs. value of vehicle when repaired.
