03 Elantra Aftermarket Stereo

I see the base model comes with a cass. player. If I were to replace it
with an aftermarket stereo would there be any problems?

It is done all the time.. any local stereo shop can do it.

My dealer replaced mine as part of my deal with a new
radio with cd and a remote!

I've bought AIWA stereo in BestBuy and replace by myself.

Could you say more about that? What model did you buy? Did it fit exactly after you removed the cassette player? Did you need an additional mounting kit?
