02 Santa Fe Spark Plugs..2.7 Ltr
I priced Spark plugs for my 02 Santa Fe 2.7 and was shocked....The local B&B
sells original NGK Lasar tiped plugs for $22.00 each. I can get Platinum
tipped plugs for this model for $2.98...What do I do...What have others
done? I plan on Calling the dealer tomorrow, but I thought someone here
might have been down this path.....Thanks in Advance!...Jim/Redmond, WA

How many miles on your '02?
When I pulled the platinum plugs on our 98 Isuzu Trooper (at 89,000
miles), they still looked in good shape.
I replaced them, but the old plugs weren't that worn.

How many miles on your 02? I'm sure that the Platinum plugs should
last well past 100k miles before needing replacement. I would think
that the laser tipped would last a lot longer. Are they required for
the Santa Fe? This is the first time that I've heard that they are
required.

Re: 02 Santa Fe Spark Plugs..2.7 Ltr
The Santa Fe has 37K on it...they were supposed to be changed at 30K
according to
the owners manual, but I've only had the vehicle for 3 months and am trying
to catch up
on the maintenance. That's all I know..Thanks!

It's my understanding (you realize this information is worth what
you pay for it) the plugs are: "covered up to the first replacement
interval".
