With the stock tires it is a death trap. The stock tires are performance tires, and do not hold on to the road in temperatures below 40 degrees F. If you were to replace the tires with winter performance tires, it will handle like an Chevy Chevette in the winter (remember those?) There are only two companies that I know of that make winter tires that will fit on the S2000. Bridgestone makes a set, and Goodyear just came out with a set. I would recommend the Goodyears. It is a variation of the Eagle sub-brand. The tire tread has more grip in the snow and the rubber of the tire stays soft enough to grip the road down to -20F. At least that is what they say.Look at spending another $1000 on tires to drive it in the winter, and you might want to get another set of rims, as the winter tires will wear out very fast in summer driving if you do not change them. That being said, it is still a small, rear wheel drive car that will swap ends on you in a heartbeat if you do not drive very carefully. Even with the proper winter tires, it will not be a really good car for driving in any kind of snow or sleet.

I would have to agree with wizard81 on this. I own an S2000, it's an awesome car and you won't regret buying it. BUT it does not handle well on snow or rain, especially on stock tires. Those were specifically made to handle on the local dry road courses.Even in rain, my tires would still break loose going straight! It's the most fun you can have in a roadster 3/4 seasons! I'd still buy it.
