Swaping Engine for Honda Del Sol?

I have 93 Honda Del Sol 93 SI.

I need to swap the engine because it is too old.

I did research for it but I am not sure which engine is good..

I really do not need a fast car.

I want to have a good engine for my car.

I want engine price under $2500 and what I found for that price is B16A G2, B18C gsr, F20B and H23.

I want to know how much it gonna cost me for installation fee for each engines.

If you know about this please leave answer.

Thank you.

This is a bit of a complicated question to answer as there are alot of things you have to take into consideration.

1.what kind of motor do you currently have? SOHC im assuming?

2.do you have to smog this motor?

Ok lets assume you have to smog this motor and have it be Ref and BAR legal, most people would tell you that the b16 is a no brainer because some of the 94-95 i think del sol Si came with a dohc b16, however, finding an OBD 1 b16 can be a huge hassle, I fully recommend to you for best bang for the buck you buy an OBD 1 b18C motor 95 preferrably for ease of the swap, this should run you around your price range if you do some shopping, and youll be very happy with the performance and efficiency of this motor. F and H series I would stay away from those are prelude and accord motors and theyre actually quite heavy for being SOHC, bigger displacement is definately not better in this instance, an H or F may be cheaper for the long block, but good luck finding the things you need to convert motor mounts, tranny, harness and ECU for your smog purposes. Hope that was of some help.
