Sounds like either the timing is off, or it's misfiring. Tell a mechanic what you said here; it probably just needs a tuneup.By bogs down, you mean, not enough power?

It probably has a chocked "air intake valve". this is located in the throttle body. This valve can be cleaned manually but will need some skill while fitting it back, another way would be to grab a air intake cleaning fluid which comes in a pressurised can. Take the air filter Assembly off, start the engine, keep it on constant 1500 RPMs and direct the nozzle of the pressurised can in the throttle body. Do wear protective eye and hand and breathing gear as the chemicals involved are carcogenic in nature. You will find that the car will start emitting foul smelling gasses from the exhaust. this should not bother you as these are burned out carbon etc deposits which are the cause of rough idle. ensure that all the chemicals induced in the throttle body are burned out by driving the car for around 25 / 30 miles immediatley afterthe can gets over. good Luck.
