89 honda prelude motor timing belt broke?

my timing belt broke and i didnt know at the time but i kept kranking the motor trying to make it start but i was going 45 mph anyways it is the timing belt but i would like to know were i can buy a motor or what types of motors would fit in my car can any honda motor fit please help i love this car since its my first i dont know if i would just take it in and get this motor fixed or but a new one but dont know were i am in washington state also i had a guy work on my car just to stop he left my motor open and all the parts are there but i would like to know what to do fast and information were to buy the motor

Look up "japan parts"They have thousands of 25K mile motors for japanese cars.Japan scraps motors after 25K miles for smog reasons.Ask a mechanic if your engin bends valves when the belt goes, if not, you can replace the belt for around 4or 500 bucks. That car should give you 300K miles. If you are at 150 or so devinately fix it.

You're putting good money after bad by trying to keep that old wreck going. Cut your losses, junk the eighteen year old rust bucket and start looking for something newer and in decent shape.

I Don't Believe This Is An Interference Motor, Meaning The Valves Didn't Hit The Pistons When You Cranked It Over. If They Did However, It Still May Be Worth Fixing. A Few Bent Valves And A New Timing Bet Is Cheaper Than An Engine Swap. Sounds Like Your Mechanic Is Trying To Rip You Off.
