Is a 1983 Honda Prelude a reliable car?

I am looking to buy a car for college, and looking for one that can last me for at least two to three years. I've found a grey '83 Prelude and it looks like good condition. I've found it on the web and will go to look at it soon. I do not know the mileage but the price is 1100.

Is there anyone that has experience with this kind of car? Even with high mileage, is it worth it? Is it cheap to repair? I only make around 5-700 dollars a month. Is insurance cheap?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, also, I live in Vancouver BC and am going to Capilano College. I live near Richmond... would the car be able to make it everyday for two years?

I recently discovered that the car is aircared and has 180,000 kms on it... is this something else good as well?
