Gosh, between a Jim Beam here and a Jack Daniels on another group I'm
in... All I need is a guy named Dos Equies...
Wow, 360k miles? We have a winner! What year is the car?

'88. lx automatic. the really incredible thing to me is that they've
never changed the transmission oil!!! they've never bothered because
"it's not going to last much longer so there's no point".

replaced the clutch slave cylinder for $170 last year, and I've spent
about $100 on oil leaks (valve cover, distributor, etc). I also
replaced the timing belt at 98,000 miles (bought the car at 89,000)
along with the water pump. I think the A/C is going to be the biggest
money pit, as I've spent about $80 on diagnostics, and it still clicks
on and off every 2-3 seconds when it gets above 85-90 degrees. The
engine is REALLY strong though, with no oil burning at all, just a
little bit of ticking during cold weather startups.

210k miles on '89 honda crx... just standard maintenance, NOTHING else. I'm
still on the original clutch, if you can believe it.
