Ugly Plastic Cover
Hi
I own a 1999 Acura 3.2 TL with the regular 225 hp engine. I was
wondering if I can get rid of that bogus-looking plastic cover on top of
the engine. I like the way the engine looks underneath. On top of that,
it is a source of vibrations. Is there a particular use to it like for
waterproofing? Can I shove it in the recycle bin? Thank you in advance
for answers

Re: Ugly Plastic Cover
Waterproofing? Nope, It serves no mechanical purpose.
Recyclable? Yes, but you can probably sell it for more.

Are you driving with your hood up? You shouldn't hear a thing from the
engine cover.
