Re: Trailer hitch for 2000 Odyessy
I'm not into car repairs myself. How much will I have to pay to
get a tranny cooler and have it installed? Also, how much
will a trailer hitch with installation cost?
Thanks,
Dick

Re: Trailer hitch for 2000 Odyessy
Hey Dick,
I'm not into car repairs either (that's why I've always driven Honda's!),
but the dealer where we purchased our camper from installed the hitch for
us, as a promotion they were running at the time. I recall the mechanic
saying it was valued at about $400-$500 or so. Ours is the "Hidden Hitch"
brand, and it's very nice to be able to remove the ball when we're not
pulling anything.
Good Luck!

Good Luck!

Re: Trailer hitch for 2000 Odyessy
I bought the hidden hitch on line for $100. It only took 30 minutes to
install. You can also get the wiring harness on line for about $25. The
connector to plug it in is already in the wiring harness. As for the trans
cooler, I would install one if you are going to be towing a lot. My own
feelings are it doesn't matter. Honda hasn't yet learned to make a
transmission that will last in the Odyssey. The 2002's are starting to fall
like flies....
